Senior Team

Ketan Patel, CEO, Founder.
Ketan is the CEO and one of the founders of the firm. Previously , he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs, where he founded the Goldman Sachs Strategic Group, a think tank at Goldman Sachs. Ketan was based in London and New York and also worked extensively in Asia, including Japan and China, with corporate, investing and government institutions. His previous experience includes working in consulting and industry. He has held positions as a board membership and partner at KPMG, led KPMG's strategy consulting and implementation practice and worked at Hewlett Packard. He is the author of 'The Master Strategist'.

Joe Sealy, Founder.
Joe is one of the founders of the firm. Previously, he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs. Joe has been a specialist in providing strategic advice to clients covering communications, media, entertainment, advertising and security. Joe has been an experienced strategic advisor to corporations, investors and government institutions across multiple regions and industries. He has previously held the position of Partner at KPMG in strategy consulting and implementation and has also held various positions as an advisor in the public sector, specialising in privatisation and outsourcing.

Francis Crispino, Founder.
Francis is one of the founders of the firm. Previously, he was an Executive Vice-President and Chief Strategy Officer at Bell Canada Enterprises. Francis served on the Management and Operating Committees and acted as principal advisor to the CEO on the rebuilding and turnaround strategy for the company. Formerly, Francis served as a senior banker in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. His experience includes executing complex M&A and financing deals and advising CEOs on strategic issues, with extensive telecoms, media and technology exposure. Francis also practised as an M&A and securities lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell.

Madhabi Puri Buch.
Madhabi is a member of the management team of the firm and heads the Singapore office. Previously, she was the CEO of ICICI Securities, a leading investment banking and broking firm in India serving clients across transactions in both public and private markets. Prior to that she was a director on the board of ICICI Bank, looking after its Global Markets business covering treasury solutions for clients, as well as, the bank's operations and credit committees. Madhabi served on the boards of the Group's Private Equity firm and Asset Management Company. She has also served as a member of India's NSE Committee on Futures and Options and the Advisory Committee to the National Securities Depository Corporation, India. Madhabi has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

Akshaya Prasad.
Akshaya co-heads the Indian office of the firm. Previously, Akshaya spent nine years at Goldman Sachs in London and Mumbai. Most recently, he set up Goldman's infrastructure investment business in India and was part of the senior team managing Goldman Sachs' US$6.5bn Infrastructure Fund. Previously, Akshaya was an Executive Director in Goldman Sachs' Investment Banking team based in London. In that role, he executed a number of large and complex international transactions across various industry sectors. Akshaya started his career as a strategy consultant in London.

Gautier de Limelette.
Gautier is a senior member of the firm's Indian office. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs. His sector experience includes high technology, telecommunications, media, mobile, and industrials. Other work experience includes Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of UBS Warburg in London, working on M&A transactions in the capital goods sector as well as Leveraged Finance. Gautier holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louvain in Belgium.

Christian Hansmeyer.
Christian is a senior member of the firm's Chinese office. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs. His sector experience includes pharmaceuticals, high technology, industrials and financial services. Other work experience includes consulting with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich Germany, corporate finance with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in New York City, and equity research with HVB Group. Christian holds a Master of Law from the University of Augsburg and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Samir Thapa.
Samir is a senior member of the firm's Chinese office. Previously, he was at Goldman Sachs and after that at Mesotron in Shanghai. His sector experience includes telecommunications, industrials and transportation. He joined GPC from Mesotron, a boutique corporate finance advisory house in Shanghai that he co-founded. Other work experience includes corporate finance with Goldman Sachs and Hawkpoint Partners. Samir holds a Master of Arts in History from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University.

Shaurya Doval.
Shaurya Doval is the co-head of GPC's investments in infrastructure activities. He leads the principal investment initiatives and deal origination for infrastructure in India. Earlier, he was the co-founder of Zeus Capital, an Indian infrastructure focussed investment boutique. Mr. Doval was formerly a Director with the principal finance business of GE Capital in London. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Doval worked with the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in London. He has also worked for over 4 years with Corporate Finance Advisory at Arthur Andersen in India.

Ali Abbas Syed.
Ali Syed is the co-head of GPC's investments in infrastructure activities. He leads the investor management and capital raising initiatives for infrastructure. Earlier, he was the co-founder of Zeus Capital, an Indian infrastructure focused investment boutique. Prior to Zeus, Mr. Syed was a Director in the Structured Finance and Metals & Mining investment banking teams at ABN AMRO in London. Mr. Syed's experience also includes time in the mergers & acquisitions and leveraged finance teams of Morgan Stanley in London. He has also worked for over 6 years with PwC and Ernst & Young in the Middle East.
